If I may revert to a 3rd grader :inhale:
"She started it!"
Why does someone go off about hating COCKROACHES or anything else you find "disgusting" while we're all biting into our delicious dinner? That's a giant bug, no less? That's like talking about the strange infection you got in your eye or the foul odor coming from your bathroom. "Gross" and "disgusting" are not dinner talk but if you open the door to it...
Since she made the first faux pas, I thought it only appropriate to educate her.
Either she would say she didn't want the lobster meaning 1) more for me and 2) she orders something else and never has lobster again which she shouldn't if she really can't stand bugs OR 3) she realizes she's been eating a giant bug for years and mentally makes an exception to catch up with her eating history
I mean seriously, if you and a friend were enjoying a delicious tofu-burger and your eating partner blurts out "I hate vegetarians and their veggie burgers!" Wouldn't you feel compelled to educate them on what they were putting into their mouth?
