Well, I'm thankful that people dress to their preference (even if that means conforming) -- it tells you quite a bit about them, and then you can decide whether or not you are interested.

Granted I'm not a mind reader, but there are some people that you know are just trying too hard. And that's what I hate.

No I'm fine with that. I'm not fine with people criticizing how others dress.

True, but I don't really mind bad fashion on women as much because if the'yre good looking its coming off anyway! haha, but having a decent haircut is important. I'd never date a girl with like half of her hair shaved off.

I would hate it if Rainman was fashion czar.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

Rainman, in one sense, I think I know what you mean about people trying to be different just for the sake of being different. (i.e. A girl I knew boycotted the radio because it was too mainstream and "everybody listens to the radio"...dumb)

However, thank God that the world is changing and we don't have to be culturally segregated. I love wearing saris and salwars but do I think I am Indian? No. One look at me and it is obvious that I am not. Do I love black culture, too? Yes. But I am also an open-minded person that considers herself human before all else and a student of the world.

There is too much beauty in the world to imprison yourself in one little corner (culturally, racially, ethnically, spiritually, etc....).

The mother friggin' Nutcracker... can you imaging having to play that every year, year after year, the same bloody piece, over and over and over and...

AND THEN when you grow up and don't have to play it in pee wee orchestras, you still hear it everywhere for 2 months, and it gets stuck in your head, and I HATE IT!!!

    <--Tchaikovsky's lucky he's already dead...
