Nah, actually it often means that I think what some INxx are saying is pretentious, self-congratulatory, and possibly has absolutely nothing to do with reality.

I said *some* though, I don't mean to say that I categorize all INxx that way, but you were saying that you roll your eyes most at a certain type of sensor, and I think I roll my eyes most at a certain type of INxx.

See, you were reading a lot into the possible "implications" of what he said. That's why I thought you were ENFP. But for all I know, you could be an ESFP.

Interesting point. That person just sounds kooky regardless of S/N.

I had an O2 sensor go out in my car a while back and it was very costly to fix. So, I'm not sure how to answer. On one hand, I like having a working sensor, but on the other hand, maintaining them can be costly so if I could somehow do without one it would be cheaper.

I certainly do not "hate" or look down on Sensors simply for having a Sensing preference, especially since I know a couple who are rather lovely, but the unfortunate fact is that most of the people I know/have known IRL who are for sure Sensors are very unhealthy individuals who yes, I do look down on and dislike immensely. I'm sure this somehow taints my views on those who expressing a strong S preference. My first college roommate was a highly delusional ISFP...as in she was diagnosed Bipolar I with a severe persecution complex. After having some of the most ridiculous roommate relations of my life with her, she up and left the living arrangement one day, leaving behind everything except her dog, her essentials and a note simply saying that she could not live with anyone who wouldn't accept her for who she was. Never heard from her again.

Another roommate/classmate I knew was an ESTJ with some severe anger problems, a blatant disregard for anyone else, and was seriously just a racist, sexist idiot. For chrissake, this guy would walk around the house SINGING the N-word over and over again (he thought it was funny to get a rise out of me). He was a rather large but well built guy who didn't hesitate to use intimidation to get his way...disagreements almost always turned into arguments that included him throwing things or becoming verbally abusive. if the argument were between him and another male things would eventually get violent. Overall a very domineering scary person.

These are 2 examples, albeit the absolute most extreme ones. The few others were simply less extreme versions of the above. I only have 2 people who I am very close to that I am sure are Sensors, my roommate (eSFP) and an ex of mine who was a very good friend long before we dated (ISTJ)...the others have done me and/or my family very wrong. Not the best sample size to work with, I know...
