I woke this morning feeling sad and momentarily lost .. I was walking somewhere and was telling myself that on Monday when the kids are at school and i'm home alone, i'm going to call my guardian angel and seek some guidance, hoping that they'll give me a sign so i know my way forward and that i wanted a white feather.

Anyway running around, catching up on errands, i finally got home and eventually had a cigarette by the back door, when i noticed to my left on the grass, not a feather but a plane (the 2 level ones, is it a united airways american plane or something similar) .. I stopped, stared and laughed out loud .. I looked to the sky and said 'you could of sent me a feather, thanks'.

    I like symbolism.
“I made you take time to look at what I saw and when you took time to really notice my flower, you hung all your associations with flowers on my flower and you write about my flower as if I think and see what you think and see—and I don't.”

Tk's insisting that "shmable" was indeed a word, as it meant "shmable" and also was a legit rhyme for the word table.

So we were having our weekly research sharing thingy and there was a presentation on figuring out when a Malay word is a loan word from another language. The presenter mentions that one of the rules is to look at the first letter of the word. If it is f, q, v, z then chances are it's a borrowed word.

My boss innocently asks "So are you saying that there are no F-words in Malay?"

The worst mistake people make in political arguments is assuming that the other side is not trying to do the right thing. This simple oversight makes productive conversation nearly impossible.
