    Default Hats, hats, hats

Do you wear hats? What kind?

What do you think when you see other people wearing hats?

I happen to love hats and used to wish to wear them, but didn't because no one around me did. Since then, something that someone on here said stuck with me. If you have an item of clothing that is not appropriate for any particular situation, well, suddenly it doesn't really matter where you wear it. Anywhere is appropriate. You can decide! Every time I wear hats, I have strangers coming up to compliment me and say that they wish more people would wear hats, or that they want to, but no one else does.

Many would be hat wearers have SOs that would be embarrassed were they to start wearing a hat.

Then there is the balding man who wears a hat, believing he is fooling everyone into believing he has hair and who doesn't ever take it off.

My nephew has gotten the coolest of top hats for grad. It is the same style of top hat as the 70s version of Willy Wonka. The same site had Mad Hatter hats, Abraham Lincoln stovepipes, The Caroller and all sorts of others!

Here's your place to opine about, show off, deride, or discuss HATS!

I love hats. I got married in a hat and so did my mother. I would like to see more people wear them.

    I love them.

The ones I wear the most are a black french beret and a fedora.

But, in my own wardrobe, I can count the "Charles Chaplin hat", brettons, cloches (I love that 1920s look) I have hats to match every outfit.

I think they are one of the best accessories ever.

Post pictures! I'm going to... (You don't have to be wearing the hat, if you are worried about privacy...)

    Huh?

I'm slowly moving into the white collar working world. Start my new job Monday. Now that I'm moving out of jeans, sarcastic t-shirts, and western style shirts into khakis, polos, and button-downs, I've decided I need a little something to maintain my trademark quirkiness in my new settings. I'm gonna start rockin' fedoras (I love fedoras, never should've gone out of style)

Think I'm going to get something like the following for summer with khakis. Then start adding a couple of different styles and colors to match business attire.

Pinch and C-crowns with stingy brims (1 1/2" to 2"). Classic style

I don´t have pics of myself on this pc anyway. If you want hat pics, ok:

    French beret:

    A random fedora:

Cloche hat (I have in white, grey, and black):

    Charles Chaplin:

I loved this hat since I saw one of his movies for the first time.

I actually love hats, but I have a rather big head, so I have trouble finding ones that conveniently fit. (I will just hope it's cuz I have a remarkably large brain. )

Ya know, unshaped berets just look incredibly weird to me...I guess its cause I'm used to seeing them like this (usually in maroon or green. Come to think of it, seeing anybody in a black beret around here is unusual too):

Its a little beat up cause its been sittin' in a foot locker for 4 years, but its still about how it used to be. Actually I'm lookin' a lil' beat up to, need more sleepy...and a shave

To Phoenix_400: I know. I get mixed reactions when wearing it.

Black berets are worn by the Uruguayan Special Police Unit (equivalent to the US SWAT), and some people admit that they get afraid to look at somebody wearing one.
