    I'm kind of indifferent to wearing hats. Never picked up the habit or interest in wearing them. Maybe I will start wearing the "proper hats" when I feel that I've finally become a "proper lady". I won't be holding my breath though. Or I just like the wind playing with my hair.

    However, I love to watch others wear them. The crazier they are, the more fascinated I get about the style, construction, the creativity put into them. Excellent.

    Not a big fan of hats on myself because I think I look stupid and not a big fan of hats on girls because you can't play with their hair and they tend to be high maintenance/overly proper.

    In a hat store located in Montevideo's Downtown. They bring hats from everywhere. I put that pic because it looks exactly the same as the one I have.

    Yes, I like hats. You can see one in my profile picture. I'm not sure what you call it, though. I think it's too flat to be a newsboy cap. But I do wear newsboy caps.

    That and the similar, unlabeled hat are the main kind I wear.

    But I do wear a fedora sometimes, particularly if it's rainy. This one is pretty close to mine:

    There's another thing I wear, that I have no photos of and do not know the name of. I wear it when the weather is very cold. It's a winter hat. It has sort of stitched, sweater like outside and a fur lined inside. It covers most of the cranium, but has to flaps that go over the sides of the face (including the ears) and tie together under the chin. The other distinguishing thing is that the front of it, on the top and outside, has a flap that's pinned up against the front, so there's this sort of wooly mantel on the forehead.

    I don't know what the hell it is, but it's awesome.

    I guess I can see that. Usually black berets get a ration of crap around here. They're kinda lowest on the totem pole.

    US Army breakdown of beret colors (in order of badassery, most to least):
    Green = Special Forces
    Tan = Ranger
    Red = Airborne Unit
    Black = Regular Army

    Did you know you can have them custom made? No pricier than a nice suit ...

    Try this website for some nice hats:

    Hats, Caps and Berets from The Village Hat Shop - the largest selection of hats online.

    Found it hunting for an Indiana Jones fedora last year. All kinds of good stuff.
