One thing I would try is get several broomsticks or pieces of PBC piping and drive them into the ground around your tomato plants. Place a tarp over the broomsticks so that water can run off the tarp and soak the ground around the plants without loosening the soil directly underneath the tomato plants.

    A: "Distilled liquor"

Q: "If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?"
A: "Between a starving prostitute and a steak sandwich."

    It'll take precisely four minutes.

The worst of all this is that I'm so pessimistic that I believe you.

I learned an important lesson about a week ago: Never plan a four day vacation a year in advance.

Needless to say, my plans have fallen apart on me.

My dad plans his vacations years before too! I guess he already knows where, when and how long we wants to go on vacation in five years! However, he always wants the same.

My hayfever is killing me, I cant believe how bad it is and when you complain about something like hayfever all other people think is that its lame.

I got annoyed at my work colleagues today, a problem arose and instead of trying to find a solution any which way the person who took the call was adopting the basic "Dont ask me" and "Someone else is responsible" approach, I hate this approach, its at the root cause of about 99.9% of my disappointment with people, the other 00.1% is the failing or corruption of any kind of authority or seniority, there's something worse about it when they do it too (although I've been told that this is why I dont "get" management).

I took the call off them even though I had been working, really working, at something else. I then found that sure enough the lack of helpful or interested attitude which was the cause of the original problem being rang in about was exactly how it had been explained and that bothered me too.

Sometimes its a lack of information or passing that information on has resulted in a sort of "mutant message", in the sense that the message sent isnt the one received, people arent attentive or they are distracted or they dont think at the time about what questions they now need to ask instead of merely acknowledging a request but at other times its just "Shoo, dont bother me".

Like an earlier poster said people are dumb and unprofessional.
