True that ... my first courses in web development were my first real introductions to seriously using a computer at all. I had a professor who taught me 2 invaluable things:

--how to create a memorable, logical and cogent filing structure
    --to save, often

We all thought he was a bit rabid on the ideas, but 12 years later I still file those ways and save, save, save.

Back to the OP: what version of Powerpoint was your Mom using?

If she can't differentiate between PowerPoint and Word, you have more urgent problems to attend to.

This reminds me of some of the issues I have with the older generation and explaining computer tech.

Like, trying to explain the difference between email and www.

"They made an hotmail account for me in that other computer, can I get into it on your computer?"
