If N’s are dominating the forums here at Typology Central, it’s probably because we’re a minority out in the real world. S’s, being the vast majority, don’t have to find special websites to talk to one another.

Many S’s probably don’t even pay much heed to the MBTI test because the test would describe (at least the N vs. S bit) most everyone they know- they probably would view the test as being based on some goofy concept in much the same way as those online “which animal spirit are you” tests are.

Ne isn't drowning out others. Whining is.

First there is whining that people aren't conforming to the whims of a select few and rubber-stamping their type on their genitals, and now there is whining that Ne dominance is drowning people. Are the little green martians going to be landing in the NT forum and the illuminati about to take over all of the pharmaceutical companies?

Don't know if it makes any contribution to the argument but those of us who teach creative subjects at work frequently see a reluctance among the ESxx's to read emails, sift through the college website for teaching and learning resources or become involved in any online forum even when it is related to work.

They actually rely on those of us who do to identify the relevant for them and provide them with hardcopy. I suspect that this would equally apply proportionally with online social groups even as directed as this seems intended to be???

Typology is after all a world of ideas rather than facts as they perceive them???

Yes, I'm pretty sure I said this in my first response.

This forum was seeded from INTPc.
Most, if not all, the original mod staff was N.
And probably 90% of the initial population was N.

Ni and Ne are primary/secondary functions for a majority of members, even three years later.

That helps clarify. So if it seems Ne dominant it is because that function is 1 or 2 or a large proportion of members and that is extroverted. There is a lot of Ni too but it is not extroverted and may not seem quite as visible. Does that sound right?

well... pretty much like my Se doesn't come across nearly as strongly online as in real life because it's not a function that translates well over the internet
