Am I missing something here? What's so dreadfully wrong with sensors?
Always listen to experts. They'll tell you what can't be done, and why. Then do it.

I think that people doesn´t list their type out of fear of being bashed because of some people´s prejudices (marmalade.sunrise and SNUGGLETRON posts seem to confirm that)

Only one user has bashed me here, but, being a heavy hitter when I have to respond to an attack, he (or she) just gave up. So far, such thing never happened again.

From my personal experience, once I learned and accepted my own personality, I stopped minding about other people´s criticism, which, for the most part, I discovered that they were made out of prejudice, ignorance, or envy. This is my opinion, don´t take it as a fact (for all you susceptible people)

I have theories as to why people don't say. I'm wondering though how some feel that listing it is actually detrimentally or not listing it has benefits.

I like listing my type, because I like being ENFP. If I wouldn't, I'd probably do that because it's funny or because I wasn't quite sure. Sometimes people tell me I'm not ENFP, but I don't mind. Usually I start discussing my possible types with them and in the end I always seem to be right about being ENFP.

If you don't agree about my MBTI type, you can complain about it here. I've had plenty of people telling me I'm something else, in my reputation box. That's annoying.

I´ve never thought about hiding it.

I list it because I´m sure of it. I´ve been reading all types descriptions around and mine is the only one I can relate to.

I changed it for the heck of it. But the first reason that came to mind is being sick and tired of being grouped with other ISTJs without taking note of the person behind the type. Not all ISTJs are the same.

Oh, and Fidelia, you missed ISTJs in your big long post of mushiness.

I do list my type. It doesn't feel right to leave the space dedicated to the type blank. So I list it. But it is not my true type though. Why don't I list my true type? Because I have noticed by experience that others judge the tone of my posts by the type I have listed.

This is how people interpret my posts according to the type I've listed -

ENTP - Huh!! you're so funny. Gosh...... you ENTPs are funny.
INTP - Hmmm... you make sense. Nice post.
ENTJ - Edgy and hot headed.

Why don't you try being ENFP? That's always fun! (I judge people on their avatars)
