Your first two paragraphs and your last seem to be opposing each other.

    This will not end well...
But it will at least be poetic, I suppose...

Hmm... But what if it does end well?
Then I suppose it will be a different sort of poetry, a preferable sort...
A sort I could become accustomed to...

I'd leave the boxes alone. The world needs a good balance of good and bad things. If we'd live in an all-bad world, it wouldn't be any good for us, but the same thing counts for the perfect world. A perfect world gets boring. Besides, if the world is perfect and this perfectness suddenly stops, no one knows how to react on that situation.

Would a perfect world be boring? What if perfection was defined such that no one could be bored in it?

I'm reminded now of how in a perfect world life would probably not exist.

Is mutation imperfection? If so people would not exist in a world without imperfections. Thus it would be impossible to have a perfect people.

Just because I accept what reality is in the large scale-the first two paragraphs, doesnt mean I cannot contribute in my own small way to try and change that reality for the better-the last paragraph. Understanding that in the grand scheme, that contribution will be minute yet still rewarding for me.

    Does that make any sense?

Just for fun however I asked my enfp friend at work. I swear I didnt tell him my answer:

    His response:
"Well first I wouldnt open the boxes as I think the world should be left as it is in a buddhist sort of good/bad way. But then who defines what is good or bad? Maybe half the population being decimated would be good so how would you even know which box is bad... And you know I kinda want to get in the boxes. I wonder what would happen if you let a non-human open the boxes, like a dog...I wonder which one the dog would pick...can a dog smell evil? Or maybe you could open both boxes at once at let them fight it out-kinda like putting a humidifier and a dehumidifier in the same room"

Then we started talking about trying to use math to figure out how much moisture might be left if you put a dehumidfier and a humidifer in the same room together, then compared to to trying to quantify the good and evil in the boxes. Then we ate cookies for awhile.

I kinda like being an enfp honestly

I would sell the key for billions of dollars and have someone else choose while I become rich.
