    Default Your Favorite Question

I remember that in 10th grade my English class was given a personality survey, and one of the results given was "your favorite question is:"

I thought it was rather interesting.

    What's your favorite question?
There is no such thing as separation from God.

    Why?

    This will not end well...
But it will at least be poetic, I suppose...

Hmm... But what if it does end well?
Then I suppose it will be a different sort of poetry, a preferable sort...
A sort I could become accustomed to...

I picked "What?" Though "Why?" is a close second.

I didn't know what sort of questions you were talking about at first, so I was going to post "Is it getting hot in here, or is it just you?"

    How ...

    ... does (something) works?
    ... is (something/somewhere) like?

    Those are my favourite questions.

My favorite question is "why?" It's a question that attacks the taken-for-granted right at its heart, forcing us to acknowledge what is wrong or otherwise shortsighted in our view of things.

Most likely "why". That's the one question I have consistently abused over and over again. In learning environments, it's normal for me to run out of the privilege to ask that question before I even get anywhere.

I also ask "when" in unlimited supply as well. Then the "how" part comes pretty easily on my own accord after those two. I just have a hard time when someone tells me "how" because they usually select the one method that works for them. I'm more comfortable knowing at least 10 separate ways of doing one thing, and the significance/impact of each path. It's for *ahem* contingency planning.
