There's no female mathematics or male mathematics. There is only mathematics. And in the same way there is no male mind or female mind. There is only mind.
And of course there are no male types or female types. There is only types.
And in heaven there is no female or male. There is only pure spirits - spirits without bodies.
And in the same way on the internet, in the noosphere, time and space have been abolished along with our gender.
But gender is one of our most fundamental distinctions, for when we pop out, the first thing they ask is, is it a boy or is it a girl?
But an even more fundamental distinction is between the inner and the outer. Drink from a clean clear glass of water - delicious and refreshing. But spit into the same glass of water and drink - disgusting.
And disgust is a sign a taboo has been broken - the taboo against mixing the inner with the outer.
And interestingly we distinguish between the extroverted and the introverted. We do not distinguish between male or female extroverted or male or female extroverted, just introverted or extroverted.
This is because we have abolished time and space and gender on the internet. Yet we drive forward looking in the rear vision mirror of gender, while pure spirits are rushing towards us through the windshield.
While women are almost as prevalent as men on internet communities, I think there's an ongoing assumption, for whatever reason, that it's still heavily male. Especially among men. I guess, off the top of my head, I'd say it's because message boards are a little bit nerdy, and nerdiness is a field that is often considered male-heavy. Ergo, assumptions.
