Relinquish my power immediately for fear of what I might do.

I would hope to pass the test as Galadriel did in LOTR.

-Cut military spending by a certain margin and reallocate money to space programs.
-Raise Nobel Prize to 30 millions and will no longer have a time frame for when it's given. It will now be determined by scientific break through.
-Put a cap on the amount of money professional athletes are getting to 10 millions max (if you wanna play sport, you better enjoy it).
-Secondary language will be mandatory in America in elementary school.
-Program to push for colonization to the moon will be emphasized.
-Glamorize scientific careers through cartoons and children shows (brainwash them while their young).
-Religion will no longer interfere with scientific study. A branch of government will be created to determine if scientific practice is immoral.

Hmm, that's all I can think of at the moment.

    Taxing prostitution:

do you think perhaps then it'd become a 'corporation' and have political influence...as in the state needs this money from this particular area so it fosters more growth in order to raise that money...

    Not directly/on purpose, but yes.

I would make it so that no one person would ever have that type of power again, and then I would step down. Otherwise, I wouldn't do a goddamned thing, as the benefits of any specific policy I implemented would pale in comparison to the consequences of being able to implement those policies without strong opposition and/or consensus.

I'm feeling a little evil right now, and in the mood to experiment. If I wanted to be a good leader I might come up with something different. But for now:

    1) Announce that all the laws, regulations, and rules of social conduct were changing as from today, and there would be severe penalties for breaking them.

    2) Not actually tell anyone what the new laws are, on the basis that they were laws that were completely rational, based on the soundest and most fundamental universal moral principles, and intended for everyone's benefit, so every decent person should realise what they are already without having to be told. Only reprobates would have any trouble understanding them or think of breaking them, and would be punished accordingly.

    3) Not actually change anything for now.

    4) Sit back and watch...
Look into my avatar. Look deep into my avatar...
