Smile Pictures of Quirky Women in Avatars

I've noticed it a lot on this forum. Men here seem to trend to impersonal or pop culture statements (like myself).

    Any theories?

Yes... but wouldn't they want to be unique? Why pictures of women instead of some natural phenomenon?

This, and I also think there is a reason the female members choose to display avi's that identify their sex more often than the guys... because otherwise, they'll be treated like the common male internet dork. Especially if they have a unisex name.

It's a statement. This picture of a women makes a statement I identify with.
<this particular case, I like her dreadies. I'm thinking about dreading my hair, and I want them to be like that, plus she's a goth, into fetish culture (corsets), and I kinda think she's hot. Or more simply she has red headed dread locks and has a dark streak.
Currently submerged under an avalanche of books and paper work. I may come back up for air from time to time.
Real life awaits and she is a demanding mistress.

Well, whenever I have an avatar, I try to only use pictures of myself because I feel weird using potentially copyrighted material.
