Looks even better on a clear day, I took that in the winter though. I was standing on the ramparts of the castle where William the Conqueror was born.
ARG. Envy. As you say so casually, '....I was standing on the ramparts....' - oh, just an everyday occurrence. :-P
The winter shot is nice though; the haziness adds to the effect, I think.
And I love castles too. That one's interesting - the rocky hillside, and that the land wasn't leveled off before the castle was built. I haven't seen any french ones yet; only spanish and irish ones. Some day though....

Scotland does sound fantastic. I've always wanted to go to Turkey. Or Hong Kong. <--- possibly resulting from consumption of too many Hong Kong movies.
Turkey has its own beauty for sure, it's a nice place to visit as a tourist. But then I'm kinda predisposed, I guess. Same thing about Scotland - I'll remain mentally fixated on how it's really the most tranquil place ever, until - hopefully - someday I fly there and have a look around. :)
