Average attraction. I like ISFPs, but I tend to like NFPs and NTPs better.

    No. I'll paraphrase Justher:

"your dual type is the person who handles all of the shit you don't care about, and won't appreciate". I think a duality is great for like two people working on a project (all the bases covered), but for a romantic relationship, I think it's crap.

Duals might work far better when both partners are older, maybe 30-35+, because there is less pure opposition to one's inferior worldview [ie, bottom two functions] at that stage.

Wait guys. This doesn't make much sense. Some MBTI types follow certain trends. For example, ISTP tends to be ISTp or SLI in Socionics, whereas INTP tends to be INTj or LLI. So some introverted types directly correlate while others have the J/P switch, generally speaking. It's worth considering since INTJs are more likely to be INTp ILI in Socionics, making ESFPs their true duals. Get what I'm saying? The extroverts seem to stay the same as the MBTI types.

I don't really understand that low attraction expressed from INTx to ESFx. In teenmovies, for examples, the INTx is always an uncool nerd with nor social skills who dream and desire to get the sexy ESFx cheerleader. Is it really so far of reality?

Yeah well I don't get all the non-attraction to dual types that pervades this thread. I remember being attracted to ISFJs since I was a small kid, and wherever I go I see that almost everybody is best friends with either their dual or activity partner

I'd argue this has more to do with male teenage sexual angst than with a latent cognitive attraction.

    what's the activity partner?

I think that's what makes it work well, but also why it's hard to make happen. Both have to be secure enough to completely come out of their comfort zones and tap into what the other has that they don't naturally have. I imagine the hardest part is the beginning.

The type whose 2 main function are your dual's main function, but switched (so for ISTP it would be ESTJ). Alternative definition: the type of your dual's club (NT-ST-SF-NF), but opposite temperament (IP-EJ / EP-IJ). So for an ENFP it'd be an ESTJ
