That sounds like so much fun, and it makes me want to see my sisters.

    Have a great trip!

I am still not here and will remain that way until some unforeseeable time. I am judging the quick and the dead.

I'm not leaving yet, but before I forget...

I'm going to Edmonton for the 2nd half of this week until sometime next week (I can't remember when we return).

I'm going to my dad's in a few minutes. I'll be home Monday evening/night. He has a pretty old machine with dial-up, so I'm not sure how much I will be on between now and then. I should probably be social and stuff anyway. Wish me good luck with the internet withdrawal.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

    Retrospective missing-in-action post:

Sorry for dropping off the face of the earth last week like that without any warning. (I didn't get any myself.) I'm back, but currently suffering from exhaustion and hence taking my own advice and withholding posting until using smileys comes naturally again. ()

I've crossed the Pond again! Lurking in Canada, trying to find an opportunity to visit the Cabot Trail if this good weather continues. So, sorta not on here for a couple of weeks.

Lucky you! Go to the Yellow Cello in Baddeck for a satisfyingly basic breakfast. It was so cheap, I nearly wept.

Screw all that -- eat all the wild apples you can find, and poke around at Uisge Ban falls.
