    Default Simple Pleasures

    Post your simple pleasures here.

Take a moment to notice some of the small but profound things that surround you every day. The face of your dear friend. The sound of a bird's song. An apple. A hug. 'Tis a gift to be simple, 'tis a gift to be free...

p.s. I love this version of the song so much.
Your kisses, sweeter than honey. But guess what, so is my money.

    When a neighbor is honest
Q: "What is the process of seeking the truth?"
    A: "Distilled liquor"

Q: "If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?"
A: "Between a starving prostitute and a steak sandwich."

Q:How would a mathematician capture an elephant?
A:He would build a cage, step inside, and rename his new location as "outside."

Yes! I absolutely love a cup of british tea with a spot of milk. One and a half lumps of sugar for me and assorted chocolate pieces and tea biscuits on a fine evening.

My father said he could enjoy anything if he did it slowly enough.

And the secret of growing old is to do the same things you have always done, but to do them slowly.

And we have the slow food movement and the slow writing movement - look at the huge spaces I leave, these are spaces to slow you down. You don't want to eat your food too fast, and you don't want to read too fast.

So swing lazily between my sentences and pause for pleasure.

i've said this before in some similar thread but...i adore the smell of cut grass. like when a neighbor is mowing.

i love love love dark strong coffee with sweet cream....and a danish

i love getting in the car on my way out of town,

i love the sound of seagulls at the beach and i love the feel of sun and water on my skin.

i love my big down comforter and fluffy pillows.

i love the way the air smells at night in the fall

i love seeing someone with a really big genuine smile on their face or the look in their eyes when they're overcome with happiness.

i'll stop but i love lots of little things

Edward: Bebop here here! Alright woo hoo!
Weathergirl: Chance of rock showers today upgraded to 90 percent.
    Edward: Really.

    The smell of baking bread.
    The tastes of yellow cake.
The feel of my teeth after I brush them.
Pornographic images I see when I type something benign (like the word 'car' or 'fence') in Google search engine.
