The simple pleasure of being in a quiet space and how one's ears adjust until the smallest murmur of a sound can be heard.

Casting bullets is oddly pleasurable. You watch the heavy, silvery liquid metal flow into the mold and collect in a puddle on top of the sprue plate. You wait for a moment after the flow is stopped, watching for the lead to solidify, and then it does in a rush. You tap the sprue plate to cut through the sprues, and knock it aside revealing the bright metal underneath. You tap the mold with your striker to loosen it, then open it like a pair of shears. The pair of bullets in the two-cavity mold lie in the mold halves, shiny, new, never used. The metal in them has never been shaped this way before... the bullets are completely new objects, crisp-edged, and they look like silver. You tap them out into a cloth-lined box to let them cool, because the metal is still close to 600 degrees and will blister you quickly if you aren't careful.

cutting up vegetables with a sharp knife... the rhythm of slicing and dicing is pleasantly relaxing AND you get vegetables to eat that are nicely sliced

coming home late from work getting into bed, and having your partner wake up just enough to say "I love you" before drifting back to sleep.
    "I put the fires out."
    "you made them worse."
    "worse...or better?"

The breeze before a thunderstorm is always cool. Its a trip when you are under a patio and it is pouring down rain on oneside and nothing on the other. Or when a downpour has a definite line that goes from nothing to torential downpour in seconds and you can actually see that line. Or when it is raining while you are standing in the sunshine.

Texas weather trips people out. I miss the sideways lightning, havnt seen that in years. Where it makes huge jumps from cloud to cloud branching out like a tree, but sideways.
    Im out, its been fun
