Actually yes. It is really hard to explain though.

Most of the time. Disregarding good advice has led me to some awesome situations, most of which resulted in something illegal happening, but I felt it was good anyway.

    EDIT:

One thing: I went scuba diving whilst having the common cold. It can seriously damage your ears (if your interested in the why, pm me), but I did it anyway and got my PADI scuba diving silence.

It's called luck, if I'm not mistaken.

Which brings to mind the question of whether it's better to be wise/skillful, or lucky.

    Foolish doesn't necessary mean spontaneous.

Yes. When I crafted the OP, I was probably thinking along the lines of premeditated thoughtful foolish directions, decisions, or actions.

The point about luck is a good one. Still, I think there is more than luck involved isn't there?

I'll let you know in time regarding my latest adventure, lol

I had my eldest son a week after my 16th birthday .. Tomorrow he is 15 years old .. I made my bed so i just got on with it. I am very proud of myself for pulling it off and raising a well rounded child.

I think to say it is luck is somewhat of cop-out (maybe too harsh of a word) .. Maybe, possibly everything is predestined and we are just following the path we chose before we came here .. Doesn't mean we can't change our mind and take new paths, or possibly the new path is exactly the path we were supposed to take in the first place.

Foolish wisdom is as follows- you get into your car, and realise you don't know how to get home. You decide to close your eyes and drive at random. You somehow got home safely, despite driving against traffic. On retrospect, it was wise, was it not? >_>

That said, it can sometimes be wise to be foolish in the unique scenario where additional knowledge or rational assessment or judgement would immobilize you from action. This is fairly common in emergency situations.

I believe what you're referring to is luck.
