Ha! Yes, that too. In the first grade, my best friend and I used to try to dig holes to hell so that we could slay the devil. We also thought we could dig ourselves to Australia.

I miss building forts, getting lost in the woods, forming secret clubs with code name requirements, and setting booby traps about the school play yard.

I miss doing the superman glide on the merry go round. And the see saw! Whatever happened to the see saw? My son only knows what one is because I showed him one on Youtube.

I also miss being able to freely pick and eat muscadines off of the vine, and honeysuckle in the Spring.

Also, catching lightening bugs. I miss that too.

That was ambitious and very heroic as well!

Ah, I used to get sick from eating honeysuckle and mulberries! Yum! I loved lightening bugs and listening to cicadas at night too!

You crazy kids and your forts. I was always the explorer instead.

I bet this one group of kids I knew (but didn't hang around with) were ENTJs or ENTP's. Whatever they were, they had a certain fort "zone" completely lined up with crazy traps and shit. It was actually pretty dangerous. Me and a friend went snooping around, and we had bybassed the more deadly traps.. but my friend ended up stepping on some board with nails purposely sticking out of it. :O Stabbed him inbetween his toes. These are some childhood experiences I don't miss. Although I always never seemed to be the victim myself

I miss bed stories. Really. I'd like my mom to sit on the rim of my bed again and improvise a story together with me!
The most frustrating thing in my life is this:
when you're a kid, you're allowed to play and you've got lots of time to play. BUT you're not able and not allowed to do the things that you want to do. I wanted to build tree houses, I wanted to invent stories,... I KNEW my drawings were ugly and my stories were bad, and that I needed to exercise until they became better.
I was also convinced school was invented to keep us from learning the things that mattered, like why the moon didn't fall down and how to repair a radio...

Now that I'm able to draw and that I'm able to write, I still can't do it all the time!
    Got questions? Ask an ENTP!
    I'm female. I just can't draw women

    Me too!

I have all of these rugs in my house and I when I am moving from one side to the other, I make sure I only jump from rug to rug. I try to go for height, distance, balance, and gracefulness. If I miss one, and touch the floor, I get this weird feeling in the pit of my stomach and for a brief moment, it is all encompassing. I have tried to pinpoint this feeling many times, and don't think it's failure, I think it's longing.

I miss the sense that anything could happen in the future and the world would only get better.

I also miss being able to live my life without having to think about all the ramifications first. There was a lot of freedom, and no large impending worries that were my responsibility to resolve. My favorite times later in my childhood where when I rode my bike around the rural countryside alone -- going down big hills with the wind rushing through my hair and feeling almost like I was flying, the grass and corn fields dancing on either side, and such a heavy weight lifted...

I miss reading all the time.
    And building and imagining things.

@Wind: Jah, lotsa stuff like that.

But mostly the freedom I had to not make everything happen in life. It did not take long before I felt like a lot of plates were spinning in the air and I had to keep them up there or they would fall and crash.

Ouch! Hm, do we know each other?

There was a towering row of bushes in the back of our school, and my friends and I spent many recesses hacking a long tunnel through the bushes to make a pay-to-see haunted/trap trail. If I remember correctly, briars, ketchup, and mustard all had a key role in the setup.

Cicadas at night. And the sound of owls whooing and frogs croaking.
