How it comes across is just a chance to abuse anonymity and have someone "safely" say something that has bugged them for a bit, rather than engaging a person in a friendly positive conversation either in PM or in the public forums.
But I suppose that point has already come up.
The "critique someone's type" can be a little touchy, but in general those discussions seem to be okay, depending on the intent of those involved. If we're doing it to learn, that's a positive thing. I know I have learned a lot just from some of the conversations we've had here about type identification, whether they were about me, or Eco (for example), or others -- experiencing someone's type in reality can shed a lot of light on how theory should be applied, correcting one's misperceptions of what a particular type "has to look like."
