Oh, and I'm accepting multiple Indian food consultants so there's lots of room on this couch for everyone to be comfy. You sure you don't cook? (I really, really like Indian food). What's your favourite dish? And do you and Q and Aramis specialize in certain areas of India for food recommendations?

What kind of comic books/video games?

as you might figure out from my avatar- I'm a bass player first and foremost- it's my comfort zone and happy place, where I feel most expressive and free. My heart belongs to traditional rock and blues, but I also dabble in some pop, jazz, punk, metal, and I also sing, play the guitars and the drums... I have played quite a lot of gigs over the years, probably more than a hundred by now! There is nothing in the world like hearing a crowd of fans sing along to the words you wrote yourself in your bedroom. Nothing. (I'm planning to learn the piano, and the double bass ^_^)

I do cook a little, just not enough to do justice to my heritage! My favourite South Indian dish... hmm. I don't know, I like (making and eating) really good fish curry!

I'm more of a Marvel specialist but I can hold my own with average DC enthusiasts too. I also read manga and watch anime extensively, for reasons I still have not been inclined to explain >_>. Video games... I'm not really a specialist or expert per se, I just love them a lot and spend a disproportionately large amount of time on them. I have a habit of playing for HOURS on end, sometimes completing entire games in 1-2 days of continuous playing. (*peers guiltily at Prototype, InFamous, Dragon Age, Conan, Bayonetta...*)

EDIT: I'm also relatively good with Chinese food! Comes with the territory.

Let us not forget Scott N Denver either, I'm currently working my way through "The History of Topology" and like 10 books on General Relativity that I recently picked up from my old grad schools library

This theoretical physicist is very surprised to be known as an expert on ESTJs and on... archetypes??
I don't understand one iota of that archetype theory... I'd recommend Eric B for that.

There's a difference, of course, between participating and being an expert.

Anyhow, I somehow let myself get tied up into the political topics a lot myself, and nearly chose poli-sci as my major. You can also check down Blackmail!, and Lateralus when he's around.

Again, that's if you're just talking about people who participate a lot. As for who's an expert on politics; Everyone is, right? :rolli:

It's not the interaction I find strange - it's the impulse to pay *that* much attention to so many individuals. I suppose it's me that's odd. I'm more interested in ideas than individuals.
I wonder which type are best at networking? Certainly not INTP.

Some members of this site are lawyers and professionals working in other fields. I wouldn't expect a consultation from them without pay though.

I rather doubt this thread is trying to make this one site into the ultimate microcosmos in which all the answers of life may be found. I'm guessing most people would consult other information besides a member's opinion, even if they spoke from their profession.

On that note, Toonia's the one to see for music education/composition info or if you need measured and thoughtful input on a personal issue.
