When do "internet strangers" turn into friends.

Maybe they become e-friends? And once you have an e-friend long enough, it turns into a regular friend.

When I start sharing personal information with them, I guess. I don't know though if I have a huge line about whether people are acquaintances or friends. I just know that I have a few really close inner circle people and those are the ones that I make a deeper distinction about.

Eh... My weird little rule is that no matter how much I've bonded with someone emotionally, I will not call them a friend until I've confirmed their material existence with a personal meeting.

But that might just my own sort of semantics. It doesn't mean there's any reason I shouldn't think a lot about the people here.

It's strange to me how often people find the internet to be the great devaluer. If it's online, it's not as good or important.

We are all strangers. Everyone starts out as strangers, no matter where your first encounter with them is. It's just that on the Internet, it usually takes longer to get to know someone than it does in person.

It's like I asked my mother: do you automatically trust someone that you just met in a bar? No? Of course not.

    Cool thread idea IMO

I like to have vagina-offs with the other ladybits experts on the forum. I would consider myself one of those with a concentration in pregnancy/birth. Aphrodite as well. Some of the other ladybits experts on the forum have chosen to concentrate on other aspects of plumbing, such as sexuality (I think Aphrodite may have double majored).

I would consult ThatGirl for information on salon/beauty products, or if I wanted a T perspective on whether a certain cut/style would work for me.

Of course if I could afford it I would fill my home with furniture made by Hirsch.

Edahn is the go-to guy for explanations of the psychology of motivation and basics of human behavior.

I don't know Edahn much. He kind of seemed to be fading out around the time I was arriving. Good to know...

I knew that you were the parenting lady, but didn't know you were a ladybits expert as well. (I like the terminology!)

Oh yeah! ThatGirl is a hairdresser. Next time I'm going out I'll have to consult the hair and makeup ladies here! How would T hair advice differ from F hair advice? (I'm curious...)

I don't think TG is a hairdresser anymore, but she was and I believe she was quite good at it. So I would consult her first. What I mean by T advice is that she has a strong understanding of the objective principles of aesthetics, limited though they may be. For instance what colors coordinate with what other colors, the way different bone structures and facial shapes and hair textures work together and how they can be highlighted or downplayed--so, not just what she thinks looks good.
