    My bad. He said he was of Tamil descent.. I thought the southern region of India was called Tamil. Umm, it's "Tamil Nadu" on wikipedia.

    I don't know why, but it seems like an interesting place to me, just geographically speaking. Well, that and Sri Lanka. There's nothing really south of them. All ocean.. Kind of an "edge of the world" vibe I'm getting. I'm sure it doesn't feel that way once you're there though.

    White bread American, but currently hosting a Korean foreign exchange student and hoping we're not traumatizing her too much. She isn't too fond of a lot of American food and doesn't help that we're about as landlocked as you can get.

    I'm from the Philippines. I moved to Hawaii when I was eleven years old. I haven't seen Phillipines in a while, but I got closed when I was stationed in Japan for 3 years while in the military.
