Apa khabar! I spent four years in Malaysia and, dived so deeply into the local culture that, by the time I left, local pals were claiming me as an honorary Malaysian (I once got mistaken for a Satay vendor). Also went down to Singapore twice; one of those times was to watch Puccini's Turandot which was being performed at the Esplanade (lovely building btw). Definitely didnt get my fill of the place though and I'd like to come back and visit sometime. There are a few dozen Roti Pratas with my name on them.
Haha, I have spent quarter of my life here. I have picked up a lot of the Japanese mind set. Some people here joke I am more Japanese than some Japanese. You know what though, there isn't a lot of difference between NZ and Japan. They are both island cultures with that island mind set at the root.
Interesting! Can you speak more of the island mind set? I've read that culture is influenced a ton by geography. I'm guessing the 'island culture' you're referring to would/not also apply to the UK?

There have also been many scientific reports, published outside of Korea, that show evidence that Kimchi is a risk factor for gastric cancer. This is due to N-nitroso, a possibly carcinogenic compound, that can be found in kimchi. South Korea currently has the world's highest rate of gastric cancer.

"That that is, is. That that is not, is not. Is that it? It is."
Is it that by its indefiniteness it shadows forth the heartless voids and immensities of the universe, and thus stabs us from behind with the thought of annihilation, when beholding the white depths of the milky way?
