Russians sound evil to me. Funny how so many people like that accent .
Often a star was waiting for you to notice it. A wave rolled toward you out of the distant past, or as you walked under an open window, a violin yielded itself to your hearing. All this was mission. But could you accomplish it? (Rilke)

what... you think they should address you as Mr Bond and threaten to lower you into a vat of boiling acid or something?

and I spent a few months in brazil a few years ago and the accent tends to make me feel almost homesick for there instead of

And even then there are some variations. For instance, I say "car-a-mel" whereas people in the Philly metro area say "Car-mel." I grew up in the suburbs of New York City, and my parents are both from there, but I don't have the city's accent.
But Midwesterners don't have accents. Do they? (unless they are from Wisconsin or Minnesota)

midwestern accent= lack of distinctive regional characteristics that set apart all other parts of the us

in surveys they say that the midwestern accent is the most american of all accents- also that of people on television and newscasters and such

Well there are different characteristics to even the midwest accent. Nucular, Jewlery, Reece's peecees, haha, some of that stuff is around this area. Everyone in this area says "you guys" but overall we sound like the news.
