thankfully I'm not scared that far...

Yeah...of course, I've had people who knew how I reacted to such go on to say it anyway, apparently hoping to redeem the phrase or something.

And then ignoring me. So, no trust in it.

As the year draws to a close, before the mad rush of the season. Would like to hear from any/everyone:

    1) What is the most important thing you've learnt this year ?
I don't know anything and that's okay. That sounds a little bad doesn't it? It's okay in the sense that I can start learning now... try new stuff.

    2) What's the one thing you would you do differently next year.
Continually give myself the boot to be more proactive.

    3) And all you'd want for Christmas, is . . ?
I wanted to say that... but runv said it already

I'd like one nightstand for christmas.

My only step-sister just had a baby last month. It's the coolest thing because it's the first baby whose life I've been a part of. Her name's Cassidy Lane. (A hybrid of Casie, my step-sister's name, and Elayne, my step-mom's name; I thought it was kind of clever. Cassid-e-layne. I don't like the handing-down of names very much, but this one had a little thought.)

Anyway, I'm glad you've finally had your baby, mama. If I could donate some formula or diapers to you for Christmas, I would! Have a good one!

    1. That I need to try to let go more, take more risks in terms of trying to connect with people, and not get too settled in my own way of thinking/living. Life is short. That's my mantra I have to keep repeating. This is a constant life reminder/learning thing for me, it just seems a bit more poignant to me as this year closes. Nothing is going to change if I don't make changes in either my external environment (locale/job/activities/etc) or how I perceive things. :-)

    2. Ooh..I don't know. I can't think of any one thing. Overall I'm pretty happy w/ how the yr went, but that said, I'm now wanting some changes, so I need to reassess my life in upcoming months and maybe make some large changes next year.

    3. Love.
