    Oh, fuck that. It's disingenuous, demotivating, and unfair.

    It's also appropriate to give credit where credit is due, turning "my" into "ours" when applicable. Not only is it the right thing to do, but also you won't exactly garner the trust and support that your team needs to continue its meritous work.

    a good friend of mine, finding something i tend to do repeatedly to be hilarious, has coined the following term:

    To pull a Mane:
    To share an idea in the hope that someone will steal & bring it to fruition, generating the maximum effect by the most minimal affect.

    i think that answers the question pretty well

    As long as it doesn't impact future opportunities for anything important to me, I don't care. Chances are that my addressing it will not make said individuals 'better' people- and if they feel the need to fill some personal deficit with other people's achievements, they can have it. Doesn't do anything to me. Fuck 'em.
