    @MacGuffin

It's just a shame you didn't know what to do with the chocolate you discovered

Leave that to the Belgians..and perhaps the Swiss

I do *love* the internet though, so thanks America.

I like the fact that in America you can pretend to not be crazy and people will believe you.
Also, I like the fact that Americans are always running around...but not accomplishing much really. It's a nice contrast to how I am.
I like the fact that a lot of Americans are so blinded by patriotism that they literally cannot comprehend why anyone would be critical of their country. Sort of like a stubborn bulldog.
I like the fact that Americans give crazy people an audience...in fact they idolize them. Meat dress anyone? No, I'm still not over that. She wore meat, people! Meat!

    America's an interesting place.
    People should visit.

Sigh, she can sing, but I will never refuse to believe that she isn't doing 100% of what she does as a total gimmick (triple negative c-c-combooo!). More people realize this now, but I was saying it first.

I admire her. She is very talented but talented people are a dime a dozen. She found a target audience. She created a gimmick. She works it faithfully and well and treats her target audience with appreciation. Genius, IMO. The fact that she needs the gimmick and that it works so well for her (not just in the US, but globally) is a little scary, though.

Bah! Talking about the meat dress is making me hungry. That is a little disturbing.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

    America, the land of opportunity.

Mass production of the car, the first telephone, electrification, the transistor, computer chips, the human genome project, the beginnings of the internet, and most of the major sites on it are from the U.S. There was a time when the U.S. lead the world in things like this, and there can be again. One does wonder at the high involvement of 0th, first, and second generation immigrants in the success of these endeavors.

Accept the past. Live for the present. Look forward to the future.

I love America; where I have to fight for the rights of people who should already have rights in the first place!

    These people include:
    • Blacks
    • Homosexuals
    • Transpeople
    • (Il)legal Aliens
    • I'm sure there are others!

    Go America!

Happiness is a state of mind and I love my country. That doesn't exclude love for the rest of the world, either.
