What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me.

Being as I am now - a widow and alone.

---And I am still here. I go on.

My biggest fear used to be being alone. Now it's losing my children I think.

I think this is a good point. Once what our greatest fears are have come upon us we understand the resilliance of the human spirit gets us through anything.

Yeah, me too. It's a different kind of fear than the fear you feel for yourself. I also used to fear choking on a chicken bone in a crowded restaurant.

    1. Harm/Pain experienced by my family that I can't prevent/alleviate. Helplessness.
    2. Dependence/loss of control over my life
    3. Doing something on impulse that will make me lose respect for myself
    4. Not living up to potential
    5. Losing my voice or the ability to respond to injustice. The stuff of recurring terrifying nightmares (yuck).

    Dont know.

I've never been as scared as first time I had sleep paralyses with the evil creature in the room wanting to harm me, while I'm helpless. So I suspect it is of being hurt. Freedom, not realizing myself.

Losing my mind/memories/intellect (particularly as I get older; Alzheimer's runs in the family).

Some obscure, undetectable form of cancer, just hanging out and multiplying.

Finding myself at a place in my life where I have zero friends/family left.

Growing old without ever surpassing mediocrity.

Oh, and the ZOMBIE REVOLUTION. (I kid you not, for serious...)

    Death.
It's the ultimate deadline. I don't want to die before I finished my novel! And even before it's finished, I start a new one (or another project) that I want to get finished before I die.
Now I'm young and I can imagine death far away, but I know that I won't have run out of ideas I want to realize before I get old.
"To a well-ordered mind, death is but the next great adventure" - applies to me, except that my mind is all of a clutter and I don't want to enter the next adventure, I want to live and continue this one!

Slapstick humor. Watching people repeat the same mistakes over and over. I always get this idea of endless repetition of stupidity which is scary and not amusing at all. The problem with this is that some people don't understand that I'm really afraid and want me to loosen up. It's understandable to be afraid of snakes or spiders, but of this? It's for laughs! It's not real! No it isn't... to me, it's scary.
