I'm not insulting or anything, but I always thought babies were scary looking. I don't know why.

Well, they're not meant to look like normal humans. Their bodies are of different proportions for labor purposes, their eyes are impossibly big so as to seduce their mother and encourage mother-child bonding through physical touch, getting talked to in Motherese, etc. (which is integral to their development). They're not supposed to look like tiny adults.

Some babies aren't that cute, but I really do think her little guy is an exception

Compared to most animals, human babies are premature.

But I think newborn puppies are cute...

Is it just a guy thing to not think babies are cute?

I don't know. My husband l0ves babies, but I'm not sure if that means he thinks they are cute.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

I think a great commercial for baby products would show a bunch of guys in dress shirts and ties standing around horribly ogling over someone's newborn baby ("ooooh, loook, he's so cuuuuute! Helllo, baybee! Oooo, I'm gonna getcha, oooh, I'm gonna getcha... poke poke *giggle*) and have all the women sitting around doing their work, giving occasional confused and unsettled glances at the spectacle.

The fact that such a commercial would actually be humorous probably answers your question... (?)

As long as the typo was "loves" and not "lives on," I will not get too squeamish about this comment...

Aw, cut my feverish, flu-ridden self some slack.
