If everyone would have the same avatar, then this forum would turn quite boring.
I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was obviously on. I used to fly myself and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."

If you don't agree about my MBTI type, you can complain about it here. I've had plenty of people telling me I'm something else, in my reputation box. That's annoying.

There's an option to turn off the avatars.

Is it the avatars or posts that make this forum?

Both for me. Probably more of the posts, but the visual married with the printed words makes me happy.

Good posts + good avatars = good forum.

I place more importance on the posts. I mean it's impossible to know exactly what the avatars mean to the person behind the posts, so that could lead to misunderstandings. Or maybe they shouldn't be interpreted at all.

An avatar that just doesn't "feel" good or whatever you call it can influence how the posts is received. I try to avoid that when reading the posts. The avatars are just eye candy that make this bleak setting more comfortable.

Of course we don't have the same avatar. We've all been exposed to typology. Anyone here realizes that there's different types of avatars reincarnated over many users, with slight variation. I'm not an expert in the Forum Avatar Typology System. (FATS)

I have a real problem NOT imagining that an avatar is what the person looks like in real life. Yes--that includes stick figures, cartoons, celebrities and all
