Default What did you really do for Christmas?

I went over to my mom's for X-mas eve and had dinner with my family. Then I hid in the spare bedroom and watched Snow White: A Tale of Terror and Bram Stoker's Dracula - both films which are certainly highly regarded for their religious overtones.

I'm just not feeling Christmas this year. I actually laughed a little bit when I saw that the pope was attacked on a holy day, no less. Sorry, Catholics.

I guess I'm glad I saw my family.

    Anyone else have similar stories?

Chatted with family, cooked a huge dinner - YUM - LOVING my steamer... so good for big veg meals....

Watched DVD's of Greys Anatomy and Great Gatsby and read a book this evening (I have a pile of books for the holiday).

Ate too much, need to go on a post holiday diet....

Me too. My mom is a great cook!

This reminds me, I also saw a PETA commercial this morning which had a family sitting around a table that said something to the effect of "this holiday season, be thankful that you aren't a turkey."

Christmas has just been full of politically incorrect guffaws for me.

On Christmas Eve I stayed with my family, decorated the tree, pigged out a little, felt all warm and fuzzy and spent most of the day reading a book in the other room by the fireplace.

I spent the Christmas Day alone, watching movies, listening to music and just chilling and feeling good.

And I loved it. It's been a great Christmas so far.

Tomorrow Today belongs to the relatives...hm...I guess I must grin and bear it.

Got up really early on the 24th because I had a train to catch, couldn't sleep in the train because there was a family sitting cater-cornered from me with two little kids that were talking / crying all the time
Christmas Eve was actually really nice, the folks really liked the gifts they got from me (and my Dad thought the book I gave him was much more expensive than it actually was ), dinner was really nice and I went out with the guys afterwards and had a couple of beers (which I usually don't do on Christmas).
Today was fine, my grandpa came to have lunch with us, then I slept the whole afternoon (still tired from yesterday).
I'm just not looking forward to tomorrow ... I'll be at my aunt's, which usually means strangely seasoned food and boring conversations.

I woke up at Midnight on Christmas Day, I watched the whole Saw series, which was good, but not very good without headphones. I received my headphones and went back to my room and listened to Eminem for the first time in a week.

A bitch-free day, much quieter, and enjoyable.

Didnt really feel like Christmas to me, I was waiting to be contacted for help by work, even though I'm not working and I've got a bad cold and I'm worrying about whether I'll feel better for when I'm due to be back at work. Plus there's simmering disagreements in my household about how much some family members are drinking and how they act when they do. Not good.

That said we managed to do not too badly, had a good Christmas dinner and opened presents and watched DVDs which were gifts.
