I never thought an entire thread on Fi would be so foreign to me (with the exception of a few posts here & there).

I admit I relate to some of the melancholy in the photos, and I understand the concepts of good & bad (or light & dark) being presented, to illustrate the evaluating that Fi does.... and I do like how you showed the need of expression of self .... But nothing really resonates with me.

Well, rudeness doesn't bother me if I don't get a feeling of malicious intent. I've had people be technically, perfectly "polite" and really rub me the wrong way because of the undertones I got from what they said/did. That's me, though.
Often a star was waiting for you to notice it. A wave rolled toward you out of the distant past, or as you walked under an open window, a violin yielded itself to your hearing. All this was mission. But could you accomplish it? (Rilke)

Here's how I see my Fi.

Most of the time, it works in sync with Ne. So happy to meet the world, always in awe of its wonders and perfectly poised to appreciate every shred of humanity this world presents. Fi, to me, is the feeling equivalent of a large screen visual and audio amplifier. Everything, good, bad and ugly is in 70mm with many thousand watts in stereo sound. There's no trying to muffle the sound. It's life, king size, through the eyes of a baby...

On rare occasions, it's presumptuous, thinks the world of itself and very little of the world around it. On the very same occasions, it is most baby like and vulnerable, needs a little benefit of doubt, some time to ponder the undeniable fact that other people have Fi-elings too, a good 'talking to' and milk and cookies. Remorse follows and is felt in 70mm with stereo sound too.

In the spirit of the pictorial sharing that precedes, here's mine. See what I mean

You try to empty the buckets or maybe even throw them away, but somehow they're super-glued to your hands and the only thing you can do is to ensure that the contents of the buckets are equal and balanced so that you can make to the other end of the rope safely without falling off....
This. Although, I would say in this case that Fi is the actual water filling the buckets. The buckets are Si, collecting the feelings and amplifying their effect. So, this mostly describes the interaction of Fi/Si. Great description!

Also, I think there is another important aspect of Fi; namely, that it is not necessarily dependent upon external reality. So, this is where the whole "feeling alone in a crowd" notion comes from. To continue the image theme, I've included two pictures below. Although they portray opposite emotions, they both show the individuals as alone in a crowd regardless.

Thanks Just something that popped into my head while reading one of the other threads. It doesn't work that well when you consider that in this analogy, having too many good emotions would make you out of balance too....

Well, sure, but from my experience that's just because you all have the worst case of apathy I've ever encountered. You don't care about anything. You don't care enough about any one thing to be upset if it's violated or ruined, whereas I care way too much (apparently).

Admittedly, sometimes that's nice, and I value that very much in my NTP friends, but eventually what I once thought was lighthearted and carefree quickly becomes insensitive and at times even immoral. That can be so infuriating... and yeah heartbreaking . At least, that's what I've noticed with ENTPs with low Fi I know irl. I do know that you guys aren't all that way.

I'd also like to add that I am the least vengeful people I know as well.
I can't hold grudges and I forgive much too easily.
    Disliking/Hating someone takes energy I don't have.
    I'm Fi-dom, btw.
