    Absolutely.

So the quote is indicating the time in which I see the chocolate and cut it open?

That's stupid. Isn't it typically implied that when people make claims, whether scientific, metaphorical, or otherwise, that the claim is not 100% applicable to 100% of cases and people in the world? It's just an aestetically-appealing insight. Get over it. You can't argue with the Gump!

No it isn't stupid. It means that the quote is not 100% accurate therefore I'm inclined to talk about it just to make sure I'm not misunderstanding anything.

Crap, I accidentally slipped into arguing over whether a box of chocolates is predictable or not. What level have I gone down too?

I must be in the mood to argue today.

It's pretty clear that you are misunderstanding lots of stuff implied by that quote. It's just supposed to be somewhat insightful and poetic and not necessarily backed by 100% accuracy. Geeze, beauty is lost on you NTJs.

I'm going to make sure I shake up and rearrange any subsequent boxes of chocolates that you receive, just so that little leaflet proves completely useless. From here on out, you truly will NEVER know what you're gonna get...

Oh noes! You better leave now before you waste anymore time on something so blatantly trivial! God forbid we engage in something that has no foreseeable benefits...

I know someone who would go apeshit on that comment.
    The quote is a simile.

Trying to make similes or metaphors "100% accurate" is defeating the beauty of literary devices.
They aren't meant to be scrutinized like your platelet count.

You are missing the forest for the trees.

You're going to be bothered when you find out there'll be many half pieces of chocolate left beside the boxes and all the good ones were all eaten by me.
