So, what would you do? Have you taken some precautionary measures?
My diaries are just folders with bits of paper covered in scrawl inside them. They're on a shelf in my room, anyone could read them if they dared. If they did, I'd probably be there for them. You know, hug them through the trauma of what they learned and recommend a good therapist and all that.
I'm male and over 30, FYI.

surprising as this may seem to some, I never had a diary..ever
I loath to write down what I think. Putting my thoughts on paper would be cheating on myself...because i consider my thoughts to be too private to be put in words...so if i write down anything it would be fake..as i would unknowingly "edit" those posts even before I write then down
People can't make you embarrassed or ashamed about something you don't try to hide. No one's perfect. I'd had thoughts and feelings I think are foolish now, and record or non-record of them doesn't make it more or less that they happened. A diary is a reality check for me, you know? An outlet.
