It depends. If I am alone I usually wonder when the last time was someone had to push the button for help. Is there actually help on the other end of the button? If I found myself in a Speed type situation, is there a crane or something available somewhere so I can thwart a money hungry madman if I don't end up with a Jack Traven sort of cop?

If I am with my husband and we are alone I will ask if he wants to do it in there since it's still on the to-do list. If we're with other people, I just make mildly obscene gestures with my mouth.
I like to rock n' roll all night and *part* of every day. I usually have errands... I can only rock from like 1-3.

I jump up and down to make the elevator bounce and terrify those riding with me.

Me, too! What a trip, but when I am alone... in the elevator (when its moving), or just adjust my crotch.

Sometimes, usually when I am with a friend, I like to violate taboos and social norms when other people are in the elevator with us.

    1. Stand the opposite direction as everyone else...i.e. face to face with the crowd...and start talking to them in overly-familiar manner...start introducing my embarrassed friend.

    2. Make dinging noises when the elevator reaches each level...1st floor(Me: "Ding!)..2nd floor(Me: "Ding, Ding")...etc.

    3. Do things that make it look like I am having a breakdown. Start slapping head saying "shut up, shut up! GET OUTTA MY HEAD!"

I often think about physics. You know, if the elevator wire breaks and it starts a free-fall, would it be possible to jump at the last instant before it hits the ground? I have come to the conclusion that it's not possible, even if I want it to be.
I'm not really scared of being trapped in an elevator...
I would find it soothing to be stuck for a few hours.
If i'm stuck, I have a bonified reason for not doing jack shit.

Sometimes I sing loudly, depending on what kind of elevator it is.
Sometimes I make strange faces or double-check that my appearance is satisfactory.
Speaking of strange faces... I often make psychopath killer smiles. I can look pretty psycho.

I shoot people in elevators. Oh man, it's hilarious.
Is it that by its indefiniteness it shadows forth the heartless voids and immensities of the universe, and thus stabs us from behind with the thought of annihilation, when beholding the white depths of the milky way?
