I have a suspicion that I'll be eating frozen burritos and instant noodle packets.

My mom's best friend is going to come over and teach her how to make a turkey in the Puerto Rican style. There will also be green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls, and stuffing which I may or may not eat. And gravy. Lots and lots of gravy. And pumpkin pie.

I will be making one of these:

I'm not planning to eat the thanksgiving anywhere because we don't have such holiday around here.

I'm hoping to avoid the annual Thanksgivin' fam jam this year (always a shouting match about politics/religion)

If my family guilts me into going I will attempt to consume the questionable substance that is canned cranberries... Grandpa always liked it, but no one eats it. That, and my aunt's freaky, amorphous Greek, hollowed out bread, yogurt, grape leave thing. I'm trying to branch out from my usually unadventurous holiday food choices.

    And something involving pumpkins.

Oh, I have a thing for canned cranberry sauce. Especially if I can get it out of the can in one piece with the lines still on it.

It really, really matters what the exchange rate is, and how market conditions are. I spend a lot of time across both sides of the atlantic (although I am a Brit).. right now Canada Most expensive, UK mid, US cheap. But it's been moving from time to time regularly.

Certainly white meats (chicken turkey etc) are definitely cheaper (if not almost given away) in the UK.. whereas red meats are usually much pricier. This may be the other way around to North America (and is largely cultural).

The lines are the part that unnerves me the most
