Default How to name your starships ?

    Any help appreciated

The Destroyer ( Frigate Class ):

Primarily used for mining ore or doing small missions. Equipped with armor boosts, anti-tracking equipment and 7 small hybrid turrets ! So its a gun barge

    -------

    Thorax ( Cruiser Class )

Primarily used for mining and threatening smaller vessels. Equipped with medium turrets a huge collection of attack Drones and some fancy electronical equipment.

    ----------

Iteron Mk III ( Industrial Class )

Primarily used as a freighter or to bring harvested ore from one place to another.

    Upcoming ship:

    Moros ( Dreadnought Class )

Primarily used for heavily armed fun travel around the galaxy or for overtaking the galaxy. Depends on alcohol status of pilot

Thx for the hint, gonna look into it. Nostalgia for Infinity maybe good for the Moros class, though I thought to be creative and name it Moron

^Ya I always used German or French translations of cool words for my towns etc.

I'm considering joining Eve. Except I don't want to spend any money. lol. I'm kinda tired of WoW for the moment, and don't feel like CnC.

I love alastair reynolds and ian banks both.

At my workplace we make instruments. So they decided on military naming on the subsequent projects-alpha, beta, gamma, and so on so that the final product could be rebranded by the marketing group. Except that at some point they realized each project has an alpha, upgraded alpha, beta and upgraded beta stage.

So the names ended up being things like "upgraded alpha gamma" and "upgraded beta alpha" and so on. So then they decided things should be named "nextgen" which is great until you have two projects, one an upgraded beta nextgen and one an alpha nextgen going on at the same time. You should see the final names the Marketing group gives the products. It is hysterical and would have you rolling laughing for hours.

So the take home lesson-pick your names carefully. Name them after strippers.

Candy, mandy, flipper, sassy suzy, and so on.
