I don't think in terms of funny people so much as in terms of funny situation.

One of the guy's I find myself most laughing at is this ESXP friend of mine with all his crazy situations but I wouldn't call him funny, cause it's not like he's trying to be funny.

Even if I were to think of someone who is premeditatedly funny, I don't think that has anything to do with type.

Although I laugh at both of them because while both are complete geniuses, neither one of them knows proper English (I'm not one to talk... but at least I know there is an apostrophe in "haven't." I may or may not be exaggerating). I also laugh because they know this about themselves, and find it funny too.

Which brings up an interesting point. -WHY- are they funny?
Okay, I agree that INTPs can be funny in THAT way. That's not deliberate humor, it's more laughing at their expense, but I guess I'll take it. INTPs are funny if you make fun of their clumsiness or geeky behavior. I can just see one not noticing the "Kick Me" sticker on his back all day.

And yes, I do find myself amused at how often they claim to be geniuses and yet misuse English, some even going so far as to dismiss all the rules as "conventional cant." :rolli:

It does seem like a lot of ISTPs (though not all) are better spellers than INTPs, though. I wonder why that is?

Yeah, I guess it's because they can laugh at themselves? I usually find that pretty funny. It's hilarious to see them mispell something and crack jokes about it. One INTP friend, who is Vietnamese, jokes English isn't his first language. Except it's the only language he knows. The other INTP I know is someone I work with. His e-mail exchanges are hysterical. We have an Idea mailing list, and one time someone suggested putting in a Grammar checker in Thunderbird (probably on his account).
His response: "why we need that"

As for why ISTPs are better spellers, I have no clue. Maybe because we live here on earth, and want to communicate with other earthlings. Sometimes.
I have an inner monologue that sounds strikingly similar to something off Animal Planet.

I find practically every ENFP and ENTP funny. ESTP's are as well. NT's in general tend to be witty and sarcastic which amuse me as I them. After that it just comes down to the individual.

I agree. I tend to believe it depends on the person, the situation and the timing. Regardless of type.

    xntps...

Some entp's are too annoying and don't make any sense and try too hard to be funny.
Some intp's are just too serious and uptight.

But the ones that are funny,
    are hilariously funny.
