    Default Florida in the Winter...

Here's a great example of why you want to be here right now...

Never mind the miserable summer we have from May until late September, the winters make up for it!

How's winter going for other folks?

I'll bet California is doing OK.

    What about the Aussie winter?

I can't imagine Italy being a bad spot to be in at anytime of year, winter or not.

Are people still able to go to the beach?

Despite the nice photo above, it is raining cats and dogs here right now - LOOK OUT!

You know, even in Floriday it's not winter yet.

It's beautiful here right now, the trees are gorgeous this year!! I'm sure that fall in Florida doesn't compare to a northern fall. Wait a few months and you will win the weather war.

I like the Japanese winter, it's cold. But there is nice winter food and the hot springs to enjoy. Japanese culture is very seasonal.

Best vacation ever was Florida in January. Disney World was deserted, but it was still warm enough to swim in the resort pool.

Halla, do you enjoy speaking in oxymorons?

Over here it is dark, cold, gray, rainy. It rains almost every day. I like it.

Yeah, I went to the beach last weekend, it was quite okay - not as good a summer, but water temperature was around 20 C, so still okay for a bath. In Sicily it's even better, they can go to the beach from March to November (I suppose florida is similar). My region and florida are both in the humid subtropical zone, although I average 15 degrees year-round while most places in florida average 18-20 degrees year-round. December and January are actually quite cold! between -2 and 8 C, some snow too, but good for skiing since we have mountains everywhere. That's probably when the difference is most felt.

It's winter if less than half of the population is running around in bathing suits, thank you very much.

Hot springs would be nice. What seasonal food do you speak of?

I enjoy speaking in any medium. I also enjoy throwing rocks, hitting things with baseball bats, eating fatty foods, and spending money...preferably other people's money.

Are you in Scotland, or Seattle?
