I think this is true to a degree, however women seems more attuned to aesthetic particulars than men. I think men are more simplistic. If it looks good, young, and taut, awesome.

Sadly, I do think that there are many people who have never been called or classified as beautiful or "stunning".

And, conversely, that there are many people who *feel*, and, or been called/classified as ugly their entire lives.

It is times like this where one needs to understand the importance of deriving intrinsic value and worth as opposed to exclusively expecting and accepting extrinsic value/worth.

    FOR THE LADIES:

Think about those days, or nights when you just *feel* beautiful, when you feel happy with yourself, and appreciative of what you got and glad to be alive.

Now think about those times when you're minding your own business, walking down the street and getting cat-called by some neuron-deficient guy(s).

    Which feels better???

    1. "Beautiful" women often feel ugly and competitive. Just like everyone else.
    2. "Beautiful" women have far more to lose than "ugly" women.
    3. Everyone grows ugly.
    4. "Ugly" women can often improve with age.

Health. Good teeth, skin, and hair. And a big brain capable of looking after hominid larvae is all it really takes.

Nope, beautiful women are not competitive in my books.

They display kindness not vindictiveness in their eyes.

    for the *rational* ladies.

    which makes you feel better?
    a) being respected as a beautiful person
    b) being harassed by hormonal slummies

oops... that's not much of a decision is it?
maybe i've left something out of the equation.

CC let's have a little pow-wow and hammer this out.

SERIOUSLY? I always thought people overused "beautiful" or "stunning" to describe someone's looks. Wow, I feel like an idiot.

I use the word beautiful a lot, because, well I find a lot of things, both inanimate and animate, conceptual and physical to be, well, beautiful.

I also find many women do be stunning, why?

Because I think women are, generally, stunning creatures.

So I am sure I am one of those people who "over-use" these two terms.
