The reasoning that since women judge men, it's okay for men to judge women does not make sense. If others do something, then it's okay if I do it?
The problem with titles is that there are typically fewer titles than contestants making a larger portion of losers than there are winners.
Yea that's the way its supposed to work. The titles wouldn't mean anything if everyone got them.
This is the train of thought that leads to the conclusion that both the losers and the winners should get trophies in kids sports. The problem about telling everyone they're awesome all the time and making sure everyone knows its ok to fail is that people stop appreciating accomplishment. And consequently, everyone (my generation is terrible about this) begins to believe they're awesome despite the fact that they didn't put in the hard work to achieve that awesomeness. Resulting in catastrophic concentrations of douchyness within the population.
Life's tough. Teaching people anything else is just setting them up for a fall when they enter the real world.
Facing life's toughness (getting kicked in the ass by life), matures us and strengthens us into reasonable and well adjusted adults.
(I know I said I wouldn't come back to this thread)
Your representative owes you, not his industry only, but his judgment; and he betrays, instead of serving you, if he sacrifices it to your opinion.
