The Calvin Coolidge one is definitely my favourite.

This isn't really a quote, but..
Think of someone you would do anything for to win over. Then do it for them.

From a demotivational poster in my office:

"The only consistent feature in all your dissatisfying relationships is you."

    and:

"Get to work! You aren't being paid to believe in the power of your dreams!" which I see Economica has already highlighted

I actually do find these things more inspirational than the ones that are seriously meant to inspire (which I find insipid and naive). They inspire me not to suck, and not to comfort myself with thoughts that I don't, if I actually do, but to concentrate on not sucking. Heh.

"And I saw that all labor and all achievement spring from man's envy of his neighbor. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

    The fool folds his hands
    and ruins himself.
    Better one handful with tranquility
    than two handfuls with toil
    and chasing after the wind."

    A personal favorite of mine:

One they should have in high school.

Maybe if school taught about career goals this way, people wouldn't be so lazy and unmotivated.

Thanks for these, Uber. I expected no less.

BTW, that Uber-style-INTJ I mentioned? He emailed me randomly, so I made him take the test. INTJ. Hah. THere is totally a subset of INTJs who do things Uber-style.

What can I say? Some types are better than others!

The ENTJs, of course, are better at realizing the plans!

The ENTP, well, we need our mad scientists to invent our bad-ass warfare and perform cool experiments on the prisoners!

The INTP, however, will just ruin everything by making up ridiculous new philosophies.

"He who fights with monsters should be careful least he thereby becomes a monster. When you stare at the abyss, the abyss stares back at you"

I don't understand how someone can't be motivated by this. It's so epic, yet so applicable. I'm gonna go do some work!
