    Yes, but my wife couldn't.

I could live without it, but I do like to watch poker, news shows and non-fiction TV. The only series that I got hooked on since college was Stargate (Mmmmmm.....Carter). Stargate Atlantis was a take-or-leave proposition. I never saw Firefly while it was on TV, so I missed that, but can say that would have been a show of choice. In college, it was Miami Vice (I was a criminology major...what can I say?)

I like movies, so will use the TV for those.

We were given a large screen by a friend who upgraded HIS large screen. When that one pooped out, I was all for the "why don't we just cancel the cable TV and go without?"

Yeah, that went over well...like a fart in church, let me tell you.

So we got a new large screen. I admit it's nice, and makes watching the news babes in HD a real treat (except where they haven't learned that HD REALLY brings out what type of makeup they're wearing...), to say nothing of Blu-Ray movies.

So, I'd have to say that, more accurately, I could live without cable/satellite, but would keep the TV for movies. I don't play video games.

I've been watching it every day lately, but I often go through long periods of time without watching TV. So, it's got no hold on me, really.

I basically can't. TV is a stress relief for me, so if I don't have it, I go a little crazy, like Homer in my avatar.

I could live without TV, I might actually prefer that notion come to think of it.

I have a TV, but it is used pretty much only for watching DVDs and playing N64. We don't pay for cable at my apartment... who needs it when you have internet?

I do watch some TV shows, and love them, but I watch them online or on DVD pretty much without exception.

My only real issue with no TV is if there was no TV there would be no Firefly... and that is unacceptable.

What's unacceptable is that SciFi, I mean SyFy, dumps tons of money into crappy Monster-of-the-week movies yet still won't start Firefly again.

    To the OP:

Is the intent of the question to see if people don't watch shows ON a TV, or whether they don't watch TV SHOWS, since there seems to be a plethora of folks here who "can live without TV because I watch all my shows online..."
