I don't own a TV, but there are a few shows that I enjoy watching through the power of this here internet.

Hah, yeah. Even Nova airs silly programs that are based on geophysics and ends up asking "WILL A SUPERVOLCANO DEVASTATE AMERICA?!!" over and over.

Yes, I can live without the TV. I used to watch a lot of TV when growing up. Hey, I learned everything from the TV. Presently I don't have cable nor satellite. Next year, when the digital TV finally replaces the analogue TV here, I won't have any kind of reception at all as I'm most probably not going to subscribe to any or buy useless gadgets to watch TV anymore. It's about time, I tell you.
I watch maybe a couple of shows a week and when there happens to be a good movie on once in a blue moon. Otherwise, the Internet has pretty much replaced TV for me but I can live without either of them.

    Yes.

TV is a habit, when I would watch TV in the past it wasn't really on purpose it was just a habit to turn it on, even if there was nothing of interest showing I'd have my DVD recorder playing video clips. In December a power surge killed my TV and everything that went with it, I didn't do anything about it until March, then I pulled out another TV that I had packed away in a spare room cause the footy season kicked off and I wanted to watch my team, I turn it on every once in a while now but can easily go without.

I can count my addictions one one hand (the nicotine stain, that small smudge of coffee... oh and the no finger nails) TV doesn't get a look in. The internet neither.
Isn't it time for a colourful metaphor?

Same. But with a laptop you can do both, at the same time!

I sometimes have the morning and economic news on as background noise when I'm having breakfast. But I hardly ever actively watch it.
