I would die to save one random (I'm a Christian). If I wasn't a believer, I'd probably still sacrifice myself for the one, cause it would be better than living with the knowledge that I took someone's life.
If your worldview begins with the premise that this life is only a short one anyway and there's all eternity to live, what's the difference? Maybe that one person is of huge emotional/financial/whatever support to a large family. Maybe they're a terrible person. Maybe there is no God and I'd be extinguishing the only life I had. Life is precious, but there's no need to pretend it's the be-all-end-all if your money's on the table for a creator and eternal life. Plus it'd be a thrill to live that last moment not really knowing if there's eternal life, but having faith anyway.
*You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.
*Faith is the art of holding on to things your reason once accepted, despite your changing moods.
Then I thought, what's the difference between 1 and 1 million? Then I thought what if I saved 1000 child molesters and wife beaters? Then it occurred to me that letting 1000 people die is the same mentally as letting 1 million people die - it's still a shit load of people. Then I settled on this:
So fuck it. All you guys are worm food. I'll be raiding your fridges and lifting the jewelry off your still warm bodies. And your gold fillings, too. And don't worry ladies, I'll be consoling your poor grief stricken husbands - they are in good hands.
i'd have to agree. +1 xD i just thought this was funny.
but i dont care either way. i die or 1 million die. either way SOMEONES dying.
i'd probably just die though from the start. too much pressure to think about it.
