    Wow.

What a silly thing to predict.

Of the people I know well, and also know their types, the only ones I know that have been "fat" at various points in their life are an INTJ and an ISFP.

In all honesty, none of the people I have ever been socialized with for any regular interval/exposure have been overly heavy with any consistency.

I know ESTJ, ESFP, ESTP males, all are bodybuilders/weightlifters.
My wife is an INFJ fitness fanatic.
My former boss, female, is ISFJ and she is a hardcore runner.

I have several relatives, blood related and in-laws, that are at various stages of fat accumulation, and their personalities are so across the board that I couldn't begin to hypothesize as to a type predisposition(s) that have a higher than average chance of becoming obese.

In short, I think it's lifestyle related, or a state that anyone can fall into for a short period of time if they become depressed and do not seek help to resolve it.

I know many folks who have taken SSRIs and gained between 20-40 pounds. I know 2 people that have taken Depakote/Valproic Acid for bi-polar disorder and when they are being treated have gained 40+ pounds.

Bottom line, be happy with yourself, and be as healthy as you can be. This is not a dress rehearsal, make the best shot of the life you've got. Seeking to be more healthy is a good thing for anyone.

I thought INFPs were too occupied in their heads to even remember eating.

I thought the same. Maybe the INFP's I know are unique, but they're quite honestly the skinniest girls I've ever met.

Yep. The genes need to be unlocked so to speak. If you don't create the conditions to gain weight, you won't unlock the door to getting bigger. Unfortunately, everyone blames it on genes.

    OP:

I don't think this is type related.

I come from a very proud, long line of heifers of diverse type so I really do think it's genetic as opposed to type based.

To 01011010: you get fat from eating. You also get fat from not eating. So.

I do this all the time.

I've taken to carrying around granola bars and that sort of thing in my purse. That way, when I remember I forgot to eat because gnawing hunger is overtaking my mind, I have food on hand to prevent me from attacking and devouring the nearest 2 year old child.

ISFPs are catching up on the fatty poll now....quick INFPs, eat a cookie! We can win this - we need to win something!
Often a star was waiting for you to notice it. A wave rolled toward you out of the distant past, or as you walked under an open window, a violin yielded itself to your hearing. All this was mission. But could you accomplish it? (Rilke)

I see the behaviours that lead to becoming and maintaining fatness as effects of a (argueably) failing genetically programmed system rather than causes of it.

Unless you're religious or believe in a "soul" I don't understand how concious control falls on the side of environment rather than genetic. Concious control is only a limited and temporary part of the weight regulation system. I see no shame when someone blinks during a staring competition, or takes a gasp of air after diving underwater, just like feeding these are natural drives that we aren't equiped to conciously control in the long term.

I think xSFP's tend to overindulge because of Se and Fi, so one might overindulge in food because of the pleasure they feel in doing so. But of course, any type can be fat or skinny.
